Delete Your Account

You can delete your Nerve Arena account and the data associated with it at any time, directly from inside the app. The deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
How to delete your account in the app
- Open Nerve Arena on your device and sign in if you are not already.
- Tap the Self tab at the bottom right of the screen.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Self screen and tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation screen, type DELETE in the confirmation field, and tap Confirm.
- Your account is deleted immediately. The app signs you out and returns to the welcome screen.
Heads up: deletion is immediate and permanent. Any active subscription is not automatically refunded — manage subscription refunds through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store separately if needed.
What is deleted
When you delete your account, the following are permanently removed from our servers:
- Your Firebase Auth user record (account credentials, provider linkage)
- Your user profile, stats, and progression on Firestore (all data under
users/<your-uid>)
- Your match history, journal entries, custom personas, and saved scenarios
- Your RevenueCat app user record (subscription state and purchase history references)
- Any rivalry challenges you started or accepted
What is kept
For legal, security, and operational reasons, a small amount of de-identified data may be retained after account deletion:
- Aggregated, anonymous analytics — Firebase Analytics events that do not contain your user ID. Once you delete your account we lose the ability to associate these events with you.
- Aggregate crash reports — Firebase Crashlytics records that include device model and OS version but no personal identifiers.
- Payment records — receipt records that Apple App Store or Google Play retains on their side under their own policies. We do not control or receive copies beyond what RevenueCat needs to validate active subscriptions.
- Community content you published to Forge — if you published a scenario or persona to the Forge community library before deleting your account, that content may remain visible without your authorship attribution. Contact us if you want a specific Forge submission removed.
None of the kept data identifies you personally after the deletion completes.
Retention period
The deletion runs immediately on confirmation. Most data is wiped within seconds. Backups and cached copies are purged from our infrastructure within 90 days. After that, no record of your account exists in any of our systems.
If you cannot access the app
If you lost access to the device the account is registered on, or are unable to sign in for any other reason, email us at hello@nervearena.com with the email address associated with your Apple or Google account. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days.
